SLEAUXWAVE SOUNDS©

AUTUMN 2024 - After a 4-1/2 month long hiatus, I am happy to let everyone know that’s reading this…I am very much alive and of course, making music!

Some of the best music I’ve made this year (or probably ever) I’d say. And even with all the inspiration flowing these past few months, it was no easy feat. Time seems like it’s moving so fast these days and it feels like I’m playing catch up, I gotta be honest. I haven’t DJ’d in 4-5 months but trust I get the reps in (next post foreshadowing-type-beat.) I’m hopeful of playing more substantial shows in the near future, I just have to reconnect with my DJ homies and get to grinding again. But I’ve been busy with a project that started as an idea years ago when I decided I would spend half my life producing music. In between working on this project (when I had down time) I would work on producing, specifically edits. I currently have an 8-10 track edit pack that will be officially releasing on Bandcamp.com Monday 28 October…but more on that later. I believe the inspiration I had recently for cranking out some of the best party bangers I’ve made to date, came from this project I keep referencing.

The project’s name: SLEAUXWAVE SOUNDS© Studio. For the past quarter and some change, we (by we I mean my girl, friends, & family) have been working on a professional home studio at my apt in Austin, Texas. Well, not the whole studio. The vocal booth built from the ground up; wood, screws, drywall, insulation, the whole nine. Now, you’re probably picturing the most luxurious vocal booth in Austin, and half the artists that use it in the future would agree. But to be real, we are super proud of how it materialized. I remember when I was starting out rapping (before producing and also super young), I would turn the closet in my room of my family’s home into a mock vocal booth with blankets on the walls and all. I would record myself rapping on Pro Tools when I didn’t have means to hit up a pro studio. Later, when I started producing more, I visited a local pro studio with some friends and messed around for a few hours. From there I was bit by the producing bug. All aspects of it. Which is why SLEAUXWAVE SOUNDS© Studio is something that was a long time in the making but we are here and it is just about ready for business. Look I’ll be honest with you, it isn’t the pro studio you are used to. But trust that we put the literal blood, sweat, and tears to make it feel like you’re with the pros. We want you to feel comfortable, like you’re at your homie’s place kickin’ it with your other homies, making music in a pro basement studio!

Well, a grand opening date hasn’t been set yet. But follow all of my socials and sign up for sleauxwave.com to get the latest updates & exclusive content. You’ll be catching flyers, promo, etc. on here and there. Until next post…
